5 Cancer-Causing Products That You Put On Your Body Every Morning

Our body absorbs a great deal of whatever we put onto our skin. Considering how commercial cosmetic products contain hundreds of unsafe chemicals and toxins, it’s not a very good idea to use them on a daily basis.

According to recent studies, more than 90% of commercial cosmetic products have never really been tested for safety, and even those that have been contain a variety of harmful compounds that can cause genetic mutations, birth defects and even cancer. This fact is even more disturbing when you know that most environmental agencies have confirmed the dangers of cosmetic products for our health and the environment as well.

Here’s a list of 5 well-known carcinogenic products we use every day:

Toothpaste

Have you ever wondered if your toothpaste is actually safe for use? Studies have shown that most toothpastes contain fluoride, saccharin, propylene glycol and lauryl sulfate, all known carcinogens which can serious endanger your health. In order to avoid potential health problems, you should make your own toothpaste with peppermint oil or at least buy non-fluoride natural toothpaste.

Talcum powder

Talcum powder is made of magnesium silicate and asbestos, which have been found to increase the risk of ovarian cancer. For better results, you can make your own powder at home. Mix 1/3 cup rice flour with ¼ cup kuzu root starch and 6-7 drops of your favorite essential oil, then use it as needed.

Topical moisturizers

According to one study, moisturizers such as Vanicream or Dermovan are actually responsible for an increased risk of cancer. They are rich in arsenic, coal tar and mineral oils which have been related to over 20 ailments. Coconut oil is a perfect substitute for these moisturizers and can keep your skin healthy and protected.

Lipstick

Did you know that most lipstick brands contain carcinogens and harmful compounds? If you must wear lipstick, at least go for the organic brands

Hairspray

Hairsprays are the worst – they are loaded with shellac, formaldehyde, propylene glycol and phthalates which can serious harm your endocrine health.
